12. Rafał Majka – chosen by Vasco Serrano
At the start of the Tour de France, the cycling world raised serious doubts about the ability of UAE Team Emirates to support Tadej Pogačar. And the lack of control that existed in stage 7, with the Mathieu Van Der Poel and Wout Van Aert breakaway, seemed to confirm the suspicions. Everything changed the next day, with Davide Formolo, and from the first rest day, with Rafał Majka. On the biggest climbs of the Tour, like Mont Ventoux and Col de Portet, the Pole showed himself at a level that recalled the times when he fought for podiums in Grand Tours, setting the high pace intended by the yellow jersey. He was not the best doméstique in the Tour (more of that later on the list), but he accompanied with Pogačar and prevented him from spending much more alone time than he actually did.
